Positions up for election in January 2013 include the following positions:
(1) President, (2) Secretary, (3)Director of Competitive Programs, (4)Director of Tournaments, (5)Director of Legal Affairs and General Counsel, (6) Director of Coaches and (7)Director of Volunteers
Any nominations for officers by other than the nominating committee must have been submitted to the Board in writing one month prior to the AGM. Nominees must be seconded and give their consent. Officers and Board members shall be elected by secret ballot (simple majority) and shall assume office immediately. |

Some of the important themes that I believe will be treated during this discussion include:
1. balance of focusing on team vs. individual;
2. defining our community, is it SK, SK and adjacent towns, Southern RI, RI or not geography-based;
3. is our mission exclusive to the youth of our community;
4. is our mission particular to soccer;

One reminder is that this first step will focus on Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives. We will not get into specific programming during this session but will treat that next step in a subsequent session. |

The URI women players and coaches will be at Tuckertown next Saturday (April, 20) from 8:30-10:30 AM to conduct a foot skills clinic. The clinic will be a great way for young South County players to interact, learn and compete with both players and coaches from URI. Youth players will work in stations and then step into a mini festival challenge to see who is Skillzy King and Queen!
Afterwards the URI players will be staying to sign autographs; so make sure to bring a t-shirt, ball or item you would like your favorite Rhody to sign!
